When technology creates a sense of security: BINDER supports the St. Nikolaus children's hospice

Sometimes the true meaning of technology shows itself not in its complexity but in its effect on people's lives.

The St. Nikolaus children's hospice is a place where families with children suffering from life-limiting illnesses are accompanied – with medical expertise, but above all with humanity, time and care. It creates a space that offers relief and at the same time a sense of security.

In 2026 as well, BINDER is continuing its commitment to this valuable work and is again supporting the children's hospice with a donation of 10,000 euros. This year the support is going specifically towards modernising the lighting in the children's rooms.

What looks at first glance like a technical detail has a profound effect: the new lighting concepts combine medical requirements with a warm, individual atmosphere. They allow the children to help shape their surroundings actively – and thus create small but meaningful moments of self-determination and well-being.

The Süddeutsche Kinderhospiz-Stiftung, which runs the facility, also acknowledges the commitment: “On behalf of the St. Nikolaus children's hospice we would like to thank BINDER most warmly for their renewed support. Thanks to this help we can create a protected setting for the families in which, in a time full of uncertainty, they can draw strength, take a breath and simply ‘be' – a place for a while where crying and laughing both have room,” says Marlies Breher, Chair of the foundation's board, and adds: “Donations like this give families the feeling of being supported and give our team the strength to continue our work with full dedication.”

The donation was handed over personally by Ingrid Binder, who has been committed to the cooperation with the children's hospice for many years: “It is often the small things that make the biggest difference. If our support can help to give the children a little security and quality of life, then that is of inestimable value to us.”

For us as a company, this commitment is an expression of a clear self-understanding: technological progress and social responsibility belong inseparably together. We see it as our task not only to develop innovative solutions but also to make a positive contribution to society.

Special thanks go to the entire team of the St. Nikolaus children's hospice, who make a difference every day with extraordinary dedication.

Because responsibility shows itself where we act.
